To fulfill the requirements for licensed clinical social work supervision governed by Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council set forth in 22 TAC 781.401;
To promote the development of supervisee’s professional identity and competence;
To protect the welfare of the client;
To monitor supervisee's performance and to serve as a gatekeeper for the profession; and
To empower the supervisee to self-supervise and carry out these goals as an independent professional.
